One of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood, Shraddha Kapoor, has been absent from the screen for quite some time now, with her last theatrical release coming back in 2020. Meanwhile, there was a huge announcement made by way of the mega-budget trilogy, Nagin, which was announced with Shraddha as the eponymous lead. The announcement created a huge splash and multiple theories abounded about how each film would be mounted, leaving Shraddha Kapoor fans and Bollywood movie buffs in general quite pumped. However, it’s been some time now since there’s been any Nagin update and speculations have begun swirling of the project probably being shelved.
Has Shraddha Kapoor starrer Nagin being put on hold?
As per an entertainment news report in Mid-Day, Nagin was supposed to go on floors in summer this year. However, said report claims that the amount of VFX and massive budget of the very first film itself might have made the makers nervous, with two more films still to be mounted. Furthermore, given the current dicey market scenario for Bollywood, the makers probably felt it best to put the Shraddha Kapoor starrer on hold for now and revisit it later when the market probably becomes more conducive and mounting such a lavish project could be considered a safer bet. However, it now looks like this report couldn’t be anything further from the truth.

This comes straight from the horse’s mount as Bollywood Hungama now reports that Nagin is very much on as per the film’s producer, Nikhil Diwvedi. In fact, as per Nikhil, there has been absolutely no delay on the project going on floors, so all the rumours that have been swirling could now be put to rest.
