Elden Ring’s Infamous Fire Giant Punched To Death In Lengthy Battle

[ad_1]

A Twitch streamer has defeated Elden Ring‘s infamous Fire Giant using nothing but their own bare hands. Though FromSoftware’s action role-playing game has been out for almost a year now, fans are still pulling off amazing feats while playing the video game.

The game is notoriously difficult to defeat, and this is partly because of Elden Ring‘s hardest bosses. One of the most intimidating fights in the game is the Fire Giant. With 43,623 HP, the Fire Giant is one of the most durable bosses in Elden Ring. This massive humanoid uses both its shield and innate fire ability to combat the player. Though the Fire Giant is slow, it can cover vast distances by leaping, making close-quarter combat the most desirable strategy to defeat the monster. As with most boss battles in video games, it’s expected that the player will use the game’s weapons to defeat the boss, along with whatever magical techniques and spirit ash companions they’ve accumulated. However, that is not always the case.

As reported by PCGamesN, Twitch streamer GinoMachino defeated the Fire Giant in a five and a half hour fight without any weapons. It would have been a considerable feat already if the streamer had accomplished this with one of Elden Ring‘s bad weapons, but GinoMachino beat the boss with their bare hands. GinoMachino’s bare-handed punches could have only done about eight to twelve points of damage per hit, meaning that to defeat the Fire Giant, the streamer needed to hit the monster at least 3,605 times. GinoMachino’s goal is to defeat the whole game using only their fists, and 24 hours after beating the Fire Giant, they succeeded in defeating the equally powerful Godskin Duo. GinoMachino did say that they think Rykard would be impossible to beat, if not extremely difficult. But if they plan to beat the game with no weapons, they may eventually try squaring up against the Lord of Blasphemy.

Elden Ring May Be Beatable With No Weapons

Though FromSoftware’s video game is incredibly difficult to complete using even the best Elden Ring weapons, GinoMachino’s recent accomplishments may prove that the game can be conquered without any weapons at all. Elden Ring creator Hidetaka Miyazaki stressed that like other Souls games, constant self-improvement is the key to beating the game. As such, it would make sense that with dedicated practice and mastery of moves, even outlandish goals like this might be achieved.

Beating Elden Ring bare-handed would certainly take hours, but it would also give speedrunners a great challenge. Regardless, it’s already impressive that both the massive Fire Giant and nightmarish Godskin Duo were defeated barehanded. Players who have struggled against Elden Ring‘s hardest fights might take comfort in seeing them brought low by a Tarnished without even a dagger to their name.
