An Animal Crossing player has recreated an iconic scene from the hit TV show The Office by using custom glow-in-the-dark stickers in their home.

An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has recreated an iconic scene from The Office. Fans have been creating designs from popular media in Animal Crossing as long as the game has been around. These recreations range from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to The Exorcist, and companies have gotten involved as well by bringing advertisements like KFC Island and Hellmann’s Island to life using dream codes. Some designs can become highly elaborate, such as one Animal Crossing fan’s recreation of Breaking Bad‘s superlab.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is one of the most customizable games in the series, with features like terraforming and crafting systems to help players make whatever they desire. Fans can also create unique patterns that can be used on all manner of things, including clothing, path-making, and wall decor. The Happy Home Paradise DLC introduced additional design elements that can be crafted, such as glow-in-the-dark stickers for walls. Players have used the many creative elements in unique ways, sometimes completely subverting their original intent. For instance, one fan creatively placed a series of flower beds to create a beautiful and playable Sudoku garden in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, providing a treat for Animal Crossing fans and puzzle enthusiasts alike.

Reddit user whoopsi-goldberg used these creative elements to recreate a scene from the iconic The Office episode, “Dinner Party.” The scene depicts player characters dressed as Michael Scott and Jan Levinson staring at a plasma TV. Whoopsi-goldberg used glow-in-the-dark stickers to create wall decorations depicting the TV and fireplace from the show. The player illustrated the uncomfortable nature of the scene not only using the tiny TV, but the expressions on the villagers’ faces as well, showing Michael happy and excited about his purchase while Jan expresses silent disapproval, with closed eyes and a frown.

Design Possibilities Are Endless For Animal Crossing: New Horizons

This impressively minimalist design requires few of the many interior design items in Animal Crossing, relying instead on wall customizations to set the scene. Builds like whoopsi-goldberg’s highlight their creators’ dedication to iconic shows like The Office, as well as the creative freedom offered by robust simulation titles like Animal Crossing, which let them bring their favorite shows to life. The Happy Home Paradise DLC has only expanded this freedom of design, adding critical components to builds like whoopsi-goldberg’s.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released over two years ago, but it continues to feature millions of unique designs. Whether a creation spans an entire island or just one room, the possibilities inherent in the game are virtually endless. ACNH players can destroy and restart islands as often as they like, giving them unlimited opportunities to bring creative Animal Crossing: New Horizons creations like this scene from The Office to life.
