Debbie Johnson from 90 Day Fiancé is creeped out by her boyfriend Tony’s dark side on 90 Day: The Single Life. The 70-year-old, best remembered for being Colt Johnson’s mother from 90 Day Fiancé season 6 and for her arguments with daughter-in-law Larissa Lima, became the leading lady of her own romantic storyline in The Single Life season 2. After getting a shocking makeover, Debbie was unsuccessful in finding a man to end her dry spell of 13 years. She finally met Tony, a Canadian man via a friend, and, three days after meeting him, admitted she was in love, and so did he. With Debbie now having to move out of her Las Vegas home of four years, Tony wants her to move in together with him. Her friend Audrey decided she couldn’t stay with the 90 Day Fiancé star Debbie’s cats, making Tony ask Debbie to take a “big step,” which is “scary.” Debbie’s son Colt felt she and Tony went from “zero to soulmate” too quickly.
A preview for the next episode of 90 Day: The Single Life, shared by People, suggests that Debbie should have trusted Colt and not Tony. “It’s not exactly what I expected to see,” Debbie tells the producers in the clip. She is seen visiting Tony’s apartment, which has a Halloween theme 365 days of the year. She claims she knew that Tony was into collecting things, but she never expected to see bookcases full of bones. “I don’t know, maybe he has a dark side,” Debbie wonders before adding, “It’s scary.” 90 Day Fiancé star Debbie lets out a little chuckle while confessing that when she “gets scared,” she laughs.
90 Day Fiancé’s Debbie Calls Tony ‘Sweet’ Despite Creepy House
When Debbie tries entering Tony’s house, she’s first greeted by a garland of skulls. Upstairs, everywhere she looks, there are dragons because according to Tony, “If I see dragons, I buy them.” A life-size human skeleton also rests in the living room, making Debbie ask herself, “What’ve I got myself into?” Despite being freaked out by her boyfriend’s creepy behavior, Debbie is touched when he sees the huge dresser full of lingerie that Tony has to her. Debbie reconsiders her feelings toward her boyfriend as the 90 Day Fiancé star declares, “Honestly, Tony’s house is pretty creepy. But the fact that he set aside a drawer of sexy lingerie, it shows that he’s very sweet and thoughtful.“
Moving to Canada means Debbie had to leave everything behind, including Colt. But Colt moving out of their Vegas home was the reason why Debbie had to take up Tony’s offer. While Colt doesn’t want Debbie to meddle in his relationship with wife Vanessa Guerra, he thinks Tony might not be the right choice for his mom. Colt hopes that Debbie knows what she’s doing because there’s a “vacuum of emotions” between them. Debbie is terrified that going to Canada will move her further away from 90 Day Fiancé son Colt. But by not moving in with Tony, Debbie is risking her future, her love, and her happiness.
Although Debbie might overlook Tony’s problematic hobbies, fans are still trying to find an explanation for why he allegedly has an Ustaše inspired tattoo on his back. Debbie claims that the tattoo is of a Croatian flag and not racist and that 90 Day Fiancé fans are being plain ignorant while they spread lies. According to Debbie, Tony isn’t racist, and the critics should be going back to school before accusing him. Tony also supposedly has the words “Evo zore, evo dana” from the Ustaše etched on his back, but just like his dragons and skulls, reality TV star Debbie might be choosing to ignore them.
