Darcey Silva from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise loves playing around with photo filters, but sometimes, she goes overboard while editing her pictures. The 48-year-old reality star is known for her charismatic personality on TLC’s spin-off, Darcey & Stacey, where she appears alongside her twin sister, Stacey Silva. Darcey is known for altering her looks, and getting new cosmetic procedures done to enhance her physical appearance. However, lately, she has become completely unrecognizable, after undergoing a “twinsformation” with her sister. This included plastic surgeries that lifted her lips, slimmed her jawline, gave her a thinner waist, reduced her breast size, and created a “foxy eye” effect.
Despite undergoing multiple cosmetic procedures, Darcey still uses unrealistic editing to enhance her photos before posting them online. Earlier in July, she posted an Instagram “filter fail” video, in which the effect jumped off her face, while she was trying to suck in her stomach to make it appear flatter. The clip quickly went viral all over the Internet, making 90 Day Fiancé fans wonder why the Connecticut native uses so many filters, despite her plastic surgery history.
Darcey Silva Looks Unrecognizable In Heavily Edited Photo
Darcey is likely aware that she gets a lot of backlash from fans, due to her edited photos and videos, but she rarely seems to care about that. She clearly loves using filters in most of her posts, and sometimes uploads shocking and extreme photo edits. In late 2021, Darcey shared an unrecognizable selfie of herself, which looked like a low-quality painted portrait. She wore a white top with multiple necklaces in the photo, but the look of her skin gave her a 2-D cartoon quality. An Instagram user wrote, “Girl, not even a smidge of this is real!! Who do you think you’re fooling???”

When she uploaded the previous photo, it wasn’t the only time that Darcey posted an extremely edited photo on her Instagram. In March 2022, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise alum boldly flaunted her chest for the camera, via a close-up selfie. She wrote, “Read my lips….loving my kick-a** red lips.” She appeared quite self-confident in the post, and will surely keep shining. Unfortunately, some followers weren’t impressed with the gloomy edited photo, which looked like an amateur’s photoshop homework. A critic commented, “If you have to use filters AFTER getting mega plastic surgery, the problem was never your looks.”

Besides editing her solo photos, Darcey has also heavily altered her House of Eleven brand’s promotional pictures. These pics advertise clothing and accessories, such as jewelry. In June of last year, a fan page, Darceyandstaceyfans, shared one of Darcey’s modeling shoots, in which she didn’t look like her real self. The photo showed her standing with a younger man; she was looking at him, with her arm on his shoulder. However, the most shocking element was Darcey’s skin, which fans thought looked washed out and fake. 90 Day Fiancé fans feel that Darcey should stop using excessive filters, as they make her pictures look comical.
