Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin (2022-)
As the newest addition to the franchise, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is a wild ride. The teen drama adds mystery with horror movie styles from the ‘80s to form an entirely new story in Millwood, Pennsylvania.
The children pay for the sins of their parents as a murderer begins killing throughout the town in a typical slasher style. Despite being a teen drama, the series feels significantly more adult in comparison to the original Pretty Little Liars. A is legitimately terrifying and wields far more power over the characters. Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin will be a nail-biter for any fan of mystery and suspense.
The Flight Attendant (2020-)
Kaley Cuoco stars as an alcoholic, promiscuous flight attendant in The Flight Attendant. After she awakes to a dead body, Cassie must piece together what happened and prove her innocence. The role is a drastic change for Cuoco, who portrayed Penny in The Big Bang Theory for twelve seasons. As a dark comedy mystery series, Cuoco’s talent as a dramatic actress stands out.

Before starring in Wedding Season, Rosa Salazar voiced Alma in the animated psychological drama series Undone. Alma discovers her ability to time travel after a car accident and tries to solve her father’s death. With an impressive cast including Constance Marie, Daveed Diggs, and Bob Odenkirk, the series explores subjects including mental health, as everyone perceives Alma to be mentally unstable.
The series is so well-written that viewers will completely forget it’s animated. The animation does not detract from the themes or overarching mystery. Undone is a touching story blended well with fantasy and comedy.

Starring Debby Ryan as a beauty pageant contestant struggling to be comfortable in her own skin, Insatiable is a dark-comedy drama dabbling in murder, mystery, sexuality, and body image. It’s an unexpected mix for a beauty pageant series. The characters are completely unhinged and unpredictable.
When pageant contests keep getting murdered, everyone points the finger at Patty. The cast is hilarious with over-the-top characters yet remains tactful when dealing with more serious storylines like Nonnie exploring her sexuality and Patty learning to love herself. Insatiable is lighthearted in comparison to Wedding Season, but a darkly funny mystery worth watching.
The post-apocalyptic comedy Daybreak writes new rules for zombies. Though it may seem like an odd choice for fans of Wedding Season, viewers will enjoy the action as high school teenager Josh Wheeler searches for his girlfriend and battles zombie-like adults and high school survival cliques.
Despite being canceled after only one season, the series is still worth watching. There are unexpected twists throughout and Daybreak is full of pop culture references that any viewer would recognize. It’s a refreshing parody of typical zombie movie tropes with plenty of action, romance, and comedy.
Made For Love (2021-2022)
Made for Love is a refreshing take on science fiction romance. After her marriage ends, Hazel (Cristin Milioti) learns her ex-husband had a tracking device inserted into her brain. Despite lacking the mystery and thrill of Wedding Season, it is twisted, funny, and entertaining.
Hazel’s husband, Byron, is the epitome of a creep. He watches her every movement and tracks her feelings through the implant. Made for Love has the gore, plot twists, and romance to make for a perfect weekend binge. Unfortunately, the series has been canceled (via Variety) after two seasons following the merger between Discovery, Inc. and WarnerMedia.
